Snapdragon
Common names: snapdragon.
Antirrhinum is a genus of plants that used to be the family Scrophulariaceae,
more commonly known as snapdragons from its flowers' fancied resemblance to the
face of a dragon that opens and closes its mouth when properly squeezed.
These tall-spike stems usually have fully opened florets upon arrival with flower
buds on the upper portion showing a hint of color.
Flower colors include pink, purple, lavender, white, yellow, orange or burgundy.
Snapdragons are available year-round, as a cut flower they will last five to 10
days.
Special care: Snapdragons drink lots of water, so check water level frequently.
