Anthurium
Common names: anthurium, tailflower.
Anthurium is a large neotropical genus of about 600- 800 or more species, belonging to the arum family (Araceae).
A tropical flower, anthuriums have strange petal-like bracts, that are red, pink, white or green.
The blooms are glossy like patent leather.
Several species are popular in the florist trade as pot plants or cut flowers and as a cut flower, anthuriums live two to three weeks. |
